Snowy Day



When I took this photo at 8:30 this morning, I heard Chickadees singing their Spring song!
"MY tree! MY tree!" This is the earliest I have ever heard it sung; usually it's just one early bird.
This was a whole chorus of Chickadees!

    I am always hoping they do! :)

    Son*in*ME who is a wildlife biologist says that Chickadees tend to use that call all year, just more infrequently in Winter. But I don't know. My experience has been that up here it falls out of use beginning in August. By October the call is gone and I don't hear it again until sometime between January 20th and February 20th.

    We shall see, I suppose!
